Out of the concert hall and into the ‘Kiez’ (or local neighbourhood). Musicians from Berlin’s prestigious Konzerthaus orchestra will be giving up their usual home at Gendarmenmarkt to play neighbourhood venues and make them resound with the swell of the orchestra.
The first of September will mark the launch of the first Kiez Konzert Festival, when classical music will rub shoulders with contemporary art, during the final weeks of ‘Stanze/Rooms’ at me Collectors Room Berlin. It’s guaranteed to be the ideal opportunity to experience your surroundings through a fresh pair of eyes – and ears!
