“A journey through the world of the Wunderkammer” with Thomas Olbricht, Georg Laue (art historian & art dealer) and Corinne von Lebusa (artist of the Olbricht Collection).
A crocodile hanging from the ceiling, an ivory cabinet with scientific objects, precious items made of mother of pearl, amber and coconut: an unusual combination? What seems strange to us today was very typical of the cabinets of curiosities in the Renaissance and Baroque periods. Thomas Olbricht, Georg Laue and Corinne von Lebusa are discussin the meaning and exhibition principles behind this historical form of collecting.
