08.06.-01.07.2017: Edition 12⁻21

The current charity campaign of EDITION 12⁻21  aims to draw attention to the problems of the increasing dementia risk. EDITION 12⁻21 persuaded 21 contemporary artists, who have made their art pieces available for the charity. 21 hand-signed works will be presented in a unique edition box, that is limited to 50 pieces. The proceeds will benefit the Rudi Assauer-Initiative, which supports the combat against Alzheimer.

The works from the participating 21 artists will be presented in the lounge area of me Collectors Room Berlin from 08.06. until 01.07. 2017.

The Wunderkammer Olbricht

The practice of maintaining ‘cabinets of curiosities’ evolved during the Renaissance and Baroque. Such cabinets were collectors’ rooms in which precious artworks (artificialia), rare phenomena of nature (naturalia), scientific instruments (scientifica), objects from strange worlds (exotica), and inexplicable items (mirabilia) were preserved.
